EPL game preview this weekend :  Chelsea vs Burnley

Chelsea is starting to look like the team they were when they won the title two seasons ago. So far they have a perfect record of two wins from two but there is a long way to go before we know if they are back to their best. On Saturday they play at home against newly promoted Burnley. It is a game that they should easily win but nothing is certain as last season proved.

In Chelsea's first game the played a tough West Ham team at home and managed a 2 - 1 victory thanks to a late goal from Diego Costa. They followed that up with another 2 - 1 over Watford away from home at Vicarage Road. What made the victory impressive is that they came from behind to win. It shows that the team spirit is now back in the dressing room which was badly missing last campaign.

Diego Costa looks like the player he was during his first season in the premier league. Last year he was dreadful and many expected him to be transferred out during the summer. Costa will always cause controversy wherever he plays. In the win over Watford many though he should have been sent off before he scored the winner. It seems that new manager Antonio Conte has quickly worked out the best way to manage Chelsea's star striker so hopefully for The Blue he can keep it up for the whole season. As well as Costa back to his best new signing Michy Batshuayi looks like he could become a star at Stamford Bridge. In the first two games, he has arguably been Chelsea's best player.

Burnley looks on paper to be an easy team for Chelsea to beat but so did Leicester City last season and they went on to become champions. Burnley will be very high on confidence due to beating early title contenders Liverpool 2 - 0 at home. Andre Gray and Sam Vokes got the goals against Klopp`s men.

In Burnley's opening match in the Premier League, they were beaten by Swansea City. Beating Liverpool has helped injected much-needed confidence which is a vital part of winning. If they manage to beat Chelsea then it will sky-rocket and who knows where they could finish.

Chelsea is expected to lineup in a 4-1-4-1 formation as this is how new manager Antonio Conte has set his team up for the first two matches.

Burnley is expected to lineup in a 4-4-2 formation. It is a formation that brought Watford success in the first half of last season, so will be interesting if they keep with that formation throughout the season.

Chelsea is huge favorites to win the game and to keep up the confidences and team bonding it is vital for them to get the victory if they are going to be genuine contenders this season. Burnley is one of the favorites to be relegated but if they can pull off enough surprise results like the one against Liverpool, they could be worth a punt of staying up this season.
